Falling Apart

So last week I felt like our apartment was falling apart. I think we live in one of the best complex in Tucson. It was remodeled right before we moved in with new appliances and granite counter tops. However, with the rain storm this week our roof started leaking over Ryan's side of the bed. ahhhh. So I had to put up buckets and call the emergency maintenance line. They were no help there was nothing they could do tell morning. Ryan tells me your side of the bed is fine you can sleep there. Yea right and have the roof collapse on me no thank-you. So we pulled our mattress out into the living room and left the buckets to catch the water. After that it was kinda fun camping out and watching a movie.

Another thing breaking on us right now is our fan. This last week it stopped working, it would just make this erererer noise. Instead of buying a new one Ryan gets an ink column from inside a pen and starts moving the blade until it starts running. He has been doing this every night hoping the fan will last through the summer. I don't know if its going to work we woke up at like 3am Sunday morning and had to turn it off cause it started making the erererer noise and wouldn't run anymore. It worked last night but the noise is getting louder so we shall see how long it lasts.

Our roof should be fine now we've had a couple of storms since with no leakage but I think our fan will be dying our soon!

It a boy

We just found out were having a boy. I'm due December 8th so I'm 20 weeks pregnant.

8 weeks prego

Here is one at 19 weeks in 3D. My doctors office was one of the first in Tucson to get a 3D machine they have only had it for about a month.

My doctor says everything is fine he is breech right now but has plenty of time to turn around. When I told Ryan that if the baby was breech at the end I would have to have a C-section he said well we don't want that go for a jog and move the baby. LOL I thought that was cute.

My belly has started to pop out the last couple of weeks but not enough to need maternity clothes yet. Although I did buy a new bra last month and I think I need a new one again.

So I'm halfway there and just trying to come up with a good name for him. Ryan doesn't like anything common cause everyone will have that name and I don't want it to weird so we need a cute uncommon name. Any suggestions??

3rd times the Charm!

Since high school I"ve always wanted to go to NYC. My parents would ask what do you want to do there. I would say I don't know the empire state building and The statue of liberty. Finally when I was 19 my dad took Heather and I for an overnight trip. When we got to the empire state builind they said it was a 2 hour wait. We'll since we were only there for a day we didn't want to wait. The second time I went to NYC was when I lived in Palmyra. I tried to go like 3 times but while we there the weather was bad and they said all you will see is fog. I didn't want to spend 20 dollars to look at fog. We'll a couple weeks ago I finally made it to the top with Ryan. He had been there before, so didn't really want to do it again, but did it for me. When we go to the top it was night and he said this is so cool. Its better at night with all the lights.

Statue Of Liberty!

Times Square!

Rockefeller center

Our tour of the UN.

Getting ready for Our NBC studios tour. Sorry no Pictures allowed inside :(

We also had a fun couple of hours at the Sony museum. We got to create our own music video, and newscast, preform heart surgery (I'm sure I killed my patient) and play with technological things and of course tried out PlayStation games. We had a great time in NYC.

My blog disapeared and then came back!

So I logged on to blogspot today and I had no blog. They said by blog had been deleted. What! This happened last year too. I tried to figure out why. Ryan said it was because of my name 2weedsinapod but that's not bad right?? Anyways I created a whole new blog and then what happens. My old one shows up again. YEA!!! So I still have my posts from last year. I'm keeping my 2weedsinapod name, but changed all the settings. Lets hope it doesn't disappear again.

One more year in Tucson then where???

Ryan's 4th and last year of pharmacy school can be done anywhere. We will be coming back up to mesa but for awhile I had dreams of doing part of it in New Zeland. We were also planing Alaska, Puerto Rico and thinking of other places to go that would be fun. Ever since his first year when he mentioned that some students go to New Zeland I have wanted to go. Ryan said we could. I imagined renting a house on the beach and spending my day, laying on the beach getting a tan, becoming friends with the locals while Ryan went to work. Then I would of course learn how to cook amazing sea food (Ryan's favorite) it would be so good and I would start to like sea food. Then on the weekends we would have fun together doing all sorts of exciting stuff in New Zeland. Ryan also has 6 weeks of vacation and so we would schedule the vacation right after we got done with new Zeland and go to Australia for a week before returning home to Arizona.

Sounds fun right.... Well my hopes and dreams were destroyed. Ryan went to a meeting about New Zeland and its quite expensive. It would be $5000 just for us to fly there. Then we would have to rent a car, house and buy all our food. So I'm all set to go, but Ryan's thinks a little bit more logically then me and says; nether one of us would be working we'd get into a lot of dept.

Then he tells me its also cold there. I was picturing a Ha-wain tropical paradise. He explained its next to Antarctica and the warmest it get is like 56 degrees. Ah I don't want to sit on the beach all day with that kind of weather how am i suppose to get my tan. He also says he will be gone all day at different sites sometimes traveling to the other side of the city. Which means I would be home all day by myself knowing no one. And lastly he tells me he wouldn't go spend the extra money to go into Australia after. So I"m crushed.

Ever since we got married I've also been telling him I would live on the east coast. I love it out there its one of my favorite places to travel. I lived in up-state New York it was fun. So much history and things to do. Down side no family. Ryan's never been to thrilled about it he wants to stay in AZ cause that's where our family is. I agree what about a year or 2 out east???

Well last week he had to meet with his adviser to go over his resume (they do it every year) and she told him he has such a good resume that he could get any residency he wants after he graduates. We'll the most prestigious ones are on the east coast and California.... He knows this and would consider moving anywhere I want for a year or 2 while he does his residency... I'm shocked but excited. He's always said he doesn't want to live on the east coast or California. So what are we considering.... John Hopkins for the 1st year and Connecticut for the second (if I get what i want)... DC, and San Francesco and as alternates. Now I know he has to apply then be accepted he keeps reminding me. I'm just excited he is willing to apply. Of course we will also apply to some in Arizona don't worry parents. But since I'm not going to New Zeland anymore I dream of living on the east coast for a couple years.

Birthday

So this year my birthday was on a Saturday which meant no work or school. I had the whole day off to hangout with Ryan and we partied!

Friday night I worked late so he cleaned the whole apartment for me, so I could relax. Then Saturday morning he made french toast sticks for me. We went shopping and then, had not just one hour but an hour and a half massage. ohhh so nice and relaxing.

Where should we go for dinner I always choose something like Texas Roadhouse but that wasn't good enough so we ended up at the Melting Pot. It was sooo yummy but very $$$. It was a 4 course fundue dinner...

As we show up Ryan had made reservations and added a rose. Not to mention we were in our own private booth with a curtain around us ooo la la...

Course one a Mexican cheese fondue. With bread, chips, apples and veggies.

Course 2 a salad. Yes Ryan ate MORE salad than me. He said it tasted like dessert because of the raspberry vinaigrette dressing. YUM!

I forgot to take a picture of the main course but it was a platter of meat. We tried duck, chicken, filet mignon, NY strip, white shrimp and raviolis. There was also potatoes, broccoli and mushrooms (we skipped the mushrooms).

Last but also the best dessert. I would suggest signing up for there e-mails because then on your birthday you get a FREE dessert. We got white chocolate with strawberry's, bananas, cheesecake, rice crispys, and marshmallows to dip in!!

What a perfect birthday!!!
