So this year my birthday was on a Saturday which meant no work or school. I had the whole day off to hangout with Ryan and we partied!
Friday night I worked late so he cleaned the whole apartment for me, so I could relax. Then Saturday morning he made french toast sticks for me. We went shopping and then, had not just one hour but an hour and a half massage. ohhh so nice and relaxing.
Where should we go for dinner I always choose something like Texas Roadhouse but that wasn't good enough so we ended up at the Melting Pot. It was sooo yummy but very $$$. It was a 4 course fundue dinner...
As we show up Ryan had made reservations and added a rose. Not to mention we were in our own private booth with a curtain around us ooo la la...
Course one a Mexican cheese fondue. With bread, chips, apples and veggies.
Course 2 a salad. Yes Ryan ate MORE salad than me. He said it tasted like dessert because of the raspberry vinaigrette dressing. YUM!
I forgot to take a picture of the main course but it was a platter of meat. We tried duck, chicken, filet mignon, NY strip, white shrimp and raviolis. There was also potatoes, broccoli and mushrooms (we skipped the mushrooms).
Last but also the best dessert. I would suggest signing up for there e-mails because then on your birthday you get a FREE dessert. We got white chocolate with strawberry's, bananas, cheesecake, rice crispys, and marshmallows to dip in!!
What a perfect birthday!!!
Sounds Yummy! I want to go there? Is there one in this area?
ReplyDeletewas the melting pot worth all the money? sounds fun!!
ReplyDeleteYea it was for a special occasion. Not just a let go get dinner somewhere type of weekend. It was lots of fun. If you don't want to spend too much money just go get the cheese or the chocolate.
ReplyDeleteWe went to the Melting Pot in Boise, but we only did cheese and chocolate because it's expensive. The chocolate was so good though.
ReplyDeleteI love the Melting Pot, and Looks like you had tons of fun!!!
