So while I was surfing the internet I came across an yahoo health article called 3 day holiday detox diet. I mentioned it to Ryan and told him I want to do this, but only for one day.
The article said to have a smoothie for breakfast:
1/2 cup of skim milk
scoop of whey protein
1 medium banana
as much berries as you wanted
I followed it close but I used 2% milk instead since that is what I had. I didn't add any protein or ice. I forgot to turn the ice-maker on but it didn't matter it was still fine I also added some vanilla yogurt.
Lunch was suppose to be a spinach salad with as much vegetables as you wanted and a vingar dressing. You were also suppose to drink 2 glasses of water before you ate.
Well Ryan decided that we should go to sweet tomato instead. He was nervous about it since he didn't like salad but ended up liking it . Its an all you can eat soup salad and pasta restaurant. So we got our spinach salad along with ranch dressing and a garlic dressing, potatoes, mac and cheese, pizza rolls, cookies and ice cream. (We did a great job of detoxing right).
I kept saying this isn't detoxing. Ryan's response was this is more salad than an I ate all last year. I'm detoxing. He also said we shouldn't of drank all that water before cause we could of eaten more.
Dinner was suppose to be some kind of fish (we chose salmon) with pepper and lemon on it with a side of broccoli. We'll after stuffing our faces at Sweet Tomato we weren't hungry for dinner. So we skipped it then ate cereal before bed.
I don't think it quite worked out but Ryan was all excited and kept saying its detox day we are detoxing. All in all we had fun and want to do it again next year.
