Favorite quote from Primary

Ryan and I teach the 7-8 year old kids in primary. Sunday we were having a lesson on preparing for the 2nd coming.

The other teacher was giving examples and asking if it was a way to prepare or not for the 2nd coming. When asked if Cheating on your spelling test was a way to prepare one girl raised her hand and said I know who cheats on spelling test she does" (pointing to her twin sister).

Then her sister yells, "that was before I was baptized."

The 3 of us teachers couldn't help but laugh at that. This year we have had quite a rambunctious class but love coming home with stories like that.

  1. this sunday a girl in my class (of 4-5 year olds) asked me, when talking about Jesus' second coming, if Michael Jackson was going to come back too...

and another girl looked at my pearl earrings and said "you have a bubble on your ear!" and started laughing so hard...

don't kids say the funniest things?

  2. Ha ha. Don't you just love kids? When I taught kindergarten we asked the kids what they wanted to be when they grew up. One said she wanted to work at D.I. and one boy said he wanted to be Mario. lol. Bobby and I are now primary teachers to 11 five year olds with a 6 month old baby. It should be interesting. Last week was our first week. I'll enjoy teaching again though.

  3. my favorite is still when the little girl told me she was a vampire.
